Rossi Tourism Growth

This is evident from the data of the World Tourism Organization (WCIOM) from the press conference on " Lito 2015: tourism and recreation in the face of sanctions, decoration of rubles and economic crisis " . On the contrary, out of 59 per cent of those surveyed who took leave this year, every second Rossian carried out it without going further. In comparison, last year, 40 per cent of the Russian holidays were chosen for holidays.

As one of the participants in the press conference said, the Director-General of WCIOM Valery Fedorov: " People chose not a good life " . According to him, if the survey were to be converted to absolute figures, in 2015, the home leave was 12 million more than in the past year. And most of the respondents recognize that the choice in favour of the dacha was rather forced: the cost of rest abroad due to the devaluation of the ruble increased by 30 per cent per year. And in Russian resorts, the prices are bitten and the services are far behind the European level.

39 per cent of those surveyed Russian holidays indicate that the rest was too short, 34 per cent that, where they were resting, there were too high prices, 25 per cent were unable to go where they wished. WCIM representatives attending the press conference noted that the 40% growth of domestic tourism announced in the Rosturism season did not match the data obtained from the WSIS survey. For example, there has been an increase in the popularity of resorts, the Krasnodar region from 11 per cent to 14 per cent, Crimea from 2 per cent to 6 per cent.

The First Vice-President of the Association of Tour Operators, Vladimir Cantorović, also noted that, according to the largest Russian tour operators, ATOR participants, there was no 40% growth in domestic tourism. " If such data were true, it would be excellent results, it would be possible to dispense medals and live calmly, Mr. Cantoric said. - But you see, according to WRIOM, how much do you really have to do with the number of doses?

As Mr. Cantorović said, the tour operators actually recorded an increase in travel to Crimea. But the growth figures correspond to the WSIS data, not Rosturism. Some tourists had not been on Russian tracks in the past year, and they had already sent charter flights to Crimea resorts. But in absolute numbers, demand for Russian directions is comparable to last year.
