The Climate of Carelia is characterized as a transition from sea to continental.
The proximity of the Baltic, White and Barentsian Seas has generated intensive cyclone activities in the territory of Carelia, high relative humidity of the air, a large number of atmospheric rainfall and weather volatility throughout the year.
