Internal tourism in Russia increased by 30 per cent last year. This was reported by the head of the Federal Tourism Agency (Rostourism) Oleg Safonov, speaking at the parliamentary hearings in Gosmudum. He said that the growth rate of domestic tourism was now higher than the planned 2018.

He added that domestic tourism was developing at a " boom " pace and observed that a competitive infrastructure should be built in our country. He said that the development of domestic tourism should also be facilitated by cheap airline tickets for internal flights. And cheaply, they can be 7.5 per cent, thanks to the Rosturism agreement with the Aerofwells company for a discount of up to 15 per cent for fuel.

As noted by Oleg Safonov, Rosturism also intends to increase the image of domestic tourism in the eyes of the tourist market in Russia.
